Terms of Use

These terms apply when you download or use Loungemote. They cover your license, Loungemote Pro purchases and what to expect from the app.

Agreement

By downloading or using Loungemote (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. In these terms, “we” means the developer of Loungemote.

License

For Android, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Loungemote on your own compatible devices under these terms and applicable Google Play terms.

For the iOS version, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies to your use of Loungemote. It sets out your license to use the app, the warranty disclaimer and the limits of liability. The terms on this page add information about purchases, supported devices and acceptable use.

Loungemote Pro

Loungemote is free to download. Setting up a TV, a first key press to check the connection, and the Demo TV are free. Controlling a TV and the other features need Loungemote Pro. You can get Loungemote Pro as:

  • an auto-renewable weekly subscription, which starts with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers,
  • an auto-renewable yearly subscription,
  • a one-time lifetime purchase.

The app shows the price, billing period and eligible offers before you buy. Google Play and App Store purchases are separate and do not transfer between platforms.

iOS purchases

  • Apple charges the payment to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically. To stop the renewal, turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Apple charges your account for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • If an offer includes a free trial, the paid subscription starts when the trial ends. To prevent the charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, the unused part of the trial ends.
  • To manage or cancel a subscription, open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone. See Apple’s instructions.
  • Apple handles all refunds. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • To restore a purchase on another device, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases.

Android purchases

The Android version uses Google Play. Its Pro plans are weekly, yearly and a one-time Lifetime purchase. Eligible new subscribers can receive a three-day trial on the weekly plan; the yearly plan has no trial. Local prices and eligible offers are shown before purchase.

Google Play processes Android payments. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through Google Play before renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Restore access with the Google account used for the purchase. See Google Play subscription help and Google Play refund help. Apple-specific payment and cancellation instructions above apply only to iOS purchases.

Acceptable use

  • Use the app only with TVs, streaming devices and networks that you own or have permission to control.
  • You are responsible for the photos, videos, files and links that you cast. Cast only content that you have the right to use.
  • Do not use the app to break the law or to interfere with other people’s devices.

Supported devices

Loungemote works only with TVs and streaming devices on the same local network as your phone or tablet. Some features depend on the TV model and its software version. TV makers can change their software at any time, and a change can stop a feature from working. We try to fix these problems quickly, but we cannot guarantee that every feature works with every TV.

Third-party services

Casting to Google Cast devices uses Google’s Cast SDK. Web links that you cast are loaded by the TV from the sites that host them. We do not control third-party devices, software or content, and we are not responsible for them.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains which data the app uses. It describes local records, purchases, optional analytics and Google Cast processing for each platform.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided “as is” to the extent the law allows. Apple’s Standard EULA also applies to the iOS version. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that comes from using the app, for example a missed recording or a TV that did not respond. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the consumer law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.

Changes

We can update the app and these terms. When we change these terms, we update this page and the effective date. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

Roku, Samsung, Tizen, LG, webOS, Android TV, Google TV, Google Cast, Chromecast, Amazon, Fire TV, Vizio, SmartCast, Sony, Bravia, Xiaomi, Hisense, VIDAA, Philips, Titan OS and AirPlay are trademarks of their respective owners. Loungemote is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
