Set up in three steps

  1. Connect your phone and the TV to the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks often block the connection.
  2. Open Loungemote. It finds the TV on your network by itself.
  3. Xiaomi TVs need no pairing. Select your TV in the list and start.

Pairing happens only the first time. Next time, the app reconnects when you open it. If the TV does not appear, choose Add by IP address and type the address from the TV’s network settings.

Turn the TV on from your phone

Many Xiaomi TVs can start from the network. Look for a network standby or Wake-on-LAN setting in the TV’s settings.

Good to know

  • Xiaomi PatchWall TVs accept navigation, volume and power keys. Mute and play/pause are not available.
  • Xiaomi TVs and Mi TV Stick with Google TV or Android TV connect as Google TV.
  • Your phone and the TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Loungemote does not use infrared, and it cannot control the TV from outside your home.

Does Loungemote work with the Mi TV Stick?

Yes. The Mi TV Stick runs Android TV, so it connects as Google TV and Android TV.

Why is there no mute key for my Xiaomi TV?

Xiaomi PatchWall TVs accept only navigation, volume and power keys from apps on the network.
